Cat owners know that cats love their catnip, but there is a whole world of other toys that can make your feline friend go wild! This post is all about cat toys that make cats go crazy, not including catnip stuff for a change!

Wand Cat Toys
Wand cat toys are a great choice for cats of all ages. These toys come in all shapes, sizes, and colors and can be used to give cats an interactive playtime. You can even make your own with a few simple supplies. They usually consist of a wand (wooden dowel, chopstick, etc.) with a fabric or feather attachment. Cats love to chase, pounce, and swat at the attachment as it moves through the air.
Wand cat toys are great for cats of all ages and provide lots of physical and mental stimulation for your kitty. They allow cats to act on their natural instinct to hunt and pounce, and can provide hours of entertainment.
Benefits of Cat Wand Toys
My cat Finnegan loves his Go Cat Catcher Teaser toy. It provides him loads of exercising and active play stimulation. He loves to chew it up too, so ripping and chasing are common stimulants from the Go Cat wand toy.
I keep it real simple and get mine on Amazon.
The replacement rats come three in a pack and that is purr-fect for his use.

Benefits of using wand cat toys with your cat include the bond that is developed through playtime. Cats enjoy the challenge of chasing the wand and the feeling of accomplishment when they catch it. Wand toys also provide physical and mental stimulation, as well as exercise. Cat parents can also enjoy the bonding time with their cats when they interact with the wand.
Most interactive wand cat toys come with interchangeable toys so your cat can enjoy a variety of textures, shapes and sizes. This keeps your cat engaged and entertained. Cats can also enjoy playing with the wand toy on their own if you are busy. Wand toys are also great for cats who are home alone for long periods of time.
There are many different types of wand cat toys available. Some come with feathers or other fun attachments; others come with balls or stuffed animals. You can also find automatic wand toys that will move around the room and make noises to capture your cat’s attention.
Wand cat toys are a great choice for cat owners. Not only do they provide cats with mental and physical stimulation, but they also provide a great bonding experience between cats and their owners. With the variety of interactive wand cat toys available, there is something for every cat.
Another favorite wand cat toy of Finnegan’s is the rainbow felt toy, seen below.

I am not sure what it is about this toy but cats love it! The price is right too!
When Finnegan was younger his favorite wand toy was Da Bird. This wand toy was ideal for jumping and some chasing. Finn doesn’t seem to chew it up like he loves to do with the rat wand above, so it fell to 2nd place favorite as he has aged.
I still have the Da Bird and use it if he seems to get bored with the rats (hardly ever). I highly recommend Da Bird for cats who love to jump and chase and especially young cats.
DIY
Homemade cat toys can provide hours of fun for cats. Collect some feathers, fabric, and small bells and make your own cat toy using a bit of string. It’s easy to tie the feathers and fabric to the string and hang it from a doorknob or other sturdy surface. Cats love to swat at the feathers and make the bells ring.
This video shows a few super easy ways to quickly DIY cat toys.
PRO TIP: Dedicate a bag or basket for toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls. Next time you want to make a new cat toy, you will have all you need to get started!
You can find a variety of toys at pet supply stores or make some of your own. With a little creativity, you can provide your cat with hours of fun and entertainment.
