  • Always leash your dog and avoid bodies of water.
  • Do not swim with your dog. Limit swimming to designated areas during daylight hours.
  • Never feed an alligator.

Following the simple safety tips provided by the FWC can help keep both pets and their owners safe while enjoying the beautiful Florida scenery.

Remember, prevention is key to avoiding alligator attacks, so always be aware of your surroundings and take necessary precautions.
